Meet Meg – Your Event Specialist
With more than two decades in the media, communications, and events industry, I know a thing or two about creating unforgettable experiences and memories. I’ve delivered corporate luncheons, cocktail functions, multi-day partner summits, fundraising events, and launch events, to name just a few.
I’ve also worked on the big stuff like shutting down the streets of Townsville to drive a Supercar through the city with the mayor on board, unveiling the Holden Racing Team’s 50th Bathurst event Star Wars Livery in partnership with Disney, delivering international, Australian government-funded fellowship, and launching the world’s first Mercedes-Benz Supercar at Allphones Arena.

Walkinshaw Andretti United Partner Summit
Peppers Moonah Links, Victoria
In 2019 and 2024, Crockford Events worked closely with Walkinshaw Andretti United to deliver their Partner Summits. These events were designed to bring together the organisation’s partner group in a two-day event that combined a business conference and networking opportunities with non-business activities.
Following the formal conference, guests could select from various activities, including participating in a golf, taking a golf lesson, or enjoying a relaxing experience at the hot springs. Guests then came together for a formal evening dinner that included presentations, guest speakers and further networking opportunities.

International, Multi-Day Events
Life Saving Victoria Water Safety and Drowning Prevention Fellowship
Multiple Locations, Australia and Sri Lanka
In 2018, 13 female leaders from Sri Lanka travelled to Australia to participate in a two-week Water Safety and Drowning Prevention Fellowship Program hosted by Life Saving Victoria and funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
The fellowship focussed on bringing the alarming number of drowning deaths to the forefront of awareness, discussion and action through female leaders in the Sri Lankan aquatic, media, and tourism industries.
Crockford Events/Communications was engaged to manage the entire project plus coordinate the multiple events and participant activities at various locations around Australia within the two-week program. This included business meetings, cocktail functions, networking events, media conferences, training programs, lunches, and dinners.
Guests: 13 fellowship participants. 10-100 guests at various events throughout the program.

Walkinshaw Andretti United Academy Foundation Launch and Workshop Showcase
Melbourne, VIC
In 2023, Walkinshaw Andretti United launched the WAU Foundation Academy at their brand-new workshop in Melbourne. The WAU Foundation Academy was established to provide an opportunity and a pathway for the next generation of talent in international motorsport.
Crockford Events delivered a cocktail-style event that brought together 150 guests to celebrate the Foundation Academy’s launch, recognise the Foundation donors, and showcase the organisation’s new, world-class racing workshop.

Australian Grand Prix Cocktail Evening
Duttons Garage, Melbourne
The Australian Grand Prix is a highlight of the Australian sporting calendar. In 2019 and 2023, Crockford Events was engaged by Walkinshaw Andretti United to deliver an exclusive business networking opportunity with the sophistication of the F1, offering guests a unique experience.
Held at iconic Dutton’s Garage in Melbourne, guests were treated to celebrity guest speakers, a tour of Dutton’s luxury car collection, and live music.

Southern Cross Lubes
Melbourne, VIC
In 2019, Southern Cross Lubes (distributor for Mobil – now Statewide Oil) enlisted Crockford Events’ services to plan and manage their customer evening. The event included formal presentations, networking opportunities and a tour of their customer’s new manufacturing facility where the event was being held.

Holden Racing Team
Carousel and Zinc, Melbourne
While working for the Holden Racing Team, I planned and managed the team’s annual business luncheons, which brought together their partners for an exclusive afternoon of networking and showcased the team’s racing achievements.
The events featured car unveilings, displays, formal presentations, special guest speakers, and B2B relationship-building opportunities.

Fundraising Events
Surfers Paradise Surf Life Saving Club
Gold Coast, QLD
While events are created to be engaging and memorable, fundraising events are also all about raising money. So, it’s essential to strike a balance between event delivery and financial goals.
Having spent 27 years as a volunteer and ambassador in the Surf Life Saving movement, I have planned and executed numerous fundraising events, driving donations and maximising fundraising efforts – from themed New Year’s Eve parties and golf days to luncheons and simple sausage sizzles.
